EARLY COMPETITIVE
Where Technique Meets Teamwork
Age Group: 5 Years & Up
Program Overview

Our Early Competitive Program helps developing swimmers transition into a competitive training environment. With a strong focus on stroke mechanics, speed development, and race fundamentals, swimmers build the skills needed to progress in competitive swimming. Coaches emphasize discipline, goal-setting, and consistent improvement while keeping training engaging and age-appropriate.
As part of the MSB Aquatics pillar, swimmers train with purpose through progressive benchmarks that develop the skills required for competitive success. From breath control and body position to backstroke mechanics, underwater kicking, and flip turns, swimmers gain the foundation needed for swim team preparation.

Swim Squad
Swim Squad is our performance-based training group designed for swimmers who are ready to take the next step in their competitive journey. Placement in Swim Squad requires a tryout to ensure swimmers are prepared for the training environment. Athletes commit to practicing two times per week, focusing on technique refinement, endurance development, and team accountability.
Swim Frequency & Results
Progress in competitive swimming requires consistency. Swim Squad training is designed to build technique, endurance, and competitive readiness through purposeful weekly practice. For swimmers looking to accelerate development, private lessons can be added alongside Swim Squad to focus on individualized skill work while still maintaining team training structure.
